Effective document capturing is based on the ideal combination of premium hardware with ingenious software. For this reason, microform's production scanners are equipped with the DpuScan capture software devised by our technology partner, Janich & Klass. This software has been designed for high-throughput and high-volume scanning solutions and offers users great flexibility and intelligent functions for high-convenience and highly effective processing.

Multistream applications allow images to be stored in black and white, grayscale or color. This enables space-saving archiving of large volumes of data in black and white, but if necessary, you can also generate and archive grayscale or color images to allow you to read critical barcodes or low-contrast documents.

Barcode and patchcode readers, and OCR modules, too, are used to separate documents, index or generate names. It is also possible to separate documents automatically after a defined number of pages or by means of a white sheet.

Powerful event control: Certain subsequent processing functions, which the scanner performs automatically when a given event arises, can be assigned to features such as barcodes, OCR results, counter readings, variable values or file sizes.

A wide range of post-editing functions can be used for improving image quality, reading barcodes and automatic optical character recognition. Color scanners can also make use of an edge enhancement plugin as well as functions for filtering out any color you wish, for converting grayscale images to bitonal images, and for suppressing chromatic noise.

The integrated zoning processor enables a double-page spread to be divided into up to 20 separate images with different properties.

Standardized user dialogs for the acquisition of data can be defined easily and called up directly  either manually for individual images or for a complete batch.

Upload functions and billing data for scan service providers: DpuScan boasts universal setting options for flexible protocol files.
